After the COVID pandemic cancelled the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (ESCR) Annual Meeting 2020 in Dubrovnik, it is my honour and pleasure to welcome you to the ESCR Annual Scientific Meeting 2024, which will take place from October 24 to 26, 2024, in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
The ESCR 2024 Annual Meeting programme includes many state-of-the-art educational sessions for experienced cardiovascular radiologists, but also for young (and not so young) radiologists just entering the field, and for radiographers who are a very important part of the cardiovascular imaging team. A special part of the programme will be dedicated to imaging pediatric and congenital heart disease, which is playing an increasingly important role in the management of these patients. We are again planning to strengthen our collaboration with the ESCR partner societies through joint sessions and to offer CT and MRI workshops for those who wish to improve their practical experience in using different software applications in their daily clinical routine. During scientific sessions, you will be able to share your latest research results in the form of oral or poster presentations and discuss them with your colleagues. The EBCR diploma exam will be offered to radiologists wishing to obtain Level 3 certification in cardiovascular radiology. During the meeting, you can meet world-renowned experts in cardiovascular radiology in a warm and friendly atmosphere and learn about the latest technological achievements at symposia organized by our industry partners.
The ESCR Annual Scientific Meeting 2024 will take place in Croatia, in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik. The old town of Dubrovnik, then known as the Republic of Ragusa, was an important naval power in the Mediterranean in the Middle Ages and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979. You will be able to walk on the famous medieval stone walls of Dubrovnik and visit the oldest quarantine in the world, one of the oldest pharmacies, numerous churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains from the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods, as well as filming locations of “Games of Thrones” scenes. The congress venue is located on the quiet Babin kuk peninsula, just 15 minutes from the old town of Dubrovnik.

Nurses, radiographers/radiological technologists and physicists have to send or email a letter, written on official hospital paper and signed by the head of department, confirming their status as such within 5 working days after completed online registration. In case this confirmation is not received, the registration fee will automatically be adjusted to a regular fee.
Resident registration will be offered to residents (applicable for non-members).

In case of cancellation, neither Education Congress Research GmbH nor ESCR will refund any registration fee(s). Education Congress Research GmbH/ESCR 2024 offers all interested persons the option of taking out an insurance with our partner ‘Europäische Reiseversicherung’. The insurance fee depends on the selected ticket and can only be booked during online registration. After payment and finalisation of the registration, insurance can no longer be selected. All cancellation requests must be issued to the ‘Europäische Reiseversicherung’ directly. Refunds will be given according to the terms and conditions of the ‘Europäische Reiseversicherung’. General Information
We are happy to invite all interested persons to submit an abstract for this year’s ESCR Annual Scientific Meeting 2024. Authors of the best oral abstracts will be invited to present their work during the Scientific Sessions in Dubrovnik. Abstracts that cannot be accepted for oral presentations may be invited to be presented as online poster. Presenters of accepted abstracts (oral presentation or poster) must be registered for the ESCR Annual Scientific Meeting 2024.

The abstract should be separated in “Purpose/Objectives”, “Methods and Materials”, “Results” and “Conclusion”. The body limit is 2750 characters. Authors of accepted oral presentations will be invited for a presentation within the ESCR Scientific Sessions. Presentation time will be up to 8 minutes (depending on the final programme). The presenter of an oral presentation has to be registered for the ESCR Annual Scientific Meeting 2024.
Accepted abstracts may be published in the final programme brochure, an online syllabus and/or on the ESCR website as well as in partner journals of ESCR.
Scientific Poster

ABOUT THE YAP PROGRAMME
The European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology appreciates and encourages the submission of abstracts from young radiologists. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that in 2024 the YAP Programme will be revived.
A limited number of accepted oral presenters (no poster presenters, no submitters and no co-authors) below the age of 35 (incl. age of 35) will be able to participate in ESCR 2024 congress with a complimentary registration and will benefit from an accommodation grant of up to 400€ for a maximum number of two nights.
YAPP 2024 – COURSE OF ACTION
You will get a notification from the ESCR Office whether your abstract has been accepted for an oral presentation.
Among all accepted oral presenters, the second evaluation in terms of YAPP classification will be done. As soon as the YAPP winners are selected, they will be notified per email about their acceptance.
The European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology retains the right to reject any applicant without giving the reasons. The reimbursement will be granted to the amount of money set by ESCR for a maximum of two nights and only upon presentation of original receipts (the original hotel invoice to be sent to the ESCR office in Vienna via regular mail or handed in to the office representatives onsite at the congress venue).

Delegates, participants, exhibitors and other partners are continually targeted by companies claiming to be, or work with, event organisers. They use existing event branding and may appear genuine. In the past this has included directories and hotel bookings, besides other requests.
Our official partners are listed on the conference website, thus we ask you to retrieve all information and guidance from there only.
ESCR has no impact on possible scam attempts and thus will not assume any liability for such activity. Please do inform us immediately if you receive anything unexpected, looking like potential scam or that you are unsure of.
What to do if targeted by a scammer
In case you encounter or receive scam:
Ignore completely and do not communicate in any way. Writing letters and responding to emails simply confirms that you exist and are available at the address/email address/number they have and therefore to continue or try to pursue a payment.

Hotel booking agencies
Please beware of hotel booking companies who contact participants, speakers and supporting companies claiming to be either a preferred supplier or, in some cases, working for our event, that demand up-front payment, charge substantial penalties for changes or cancellation and may not even make a reservation with the unapproved hotel.
We advise that you make your arrangements through reputable suppliers and not via unsolicited phone calls or emails.

Companies are being targeted by agencies claiming to supply exhibitor/visitor/participant lists and details relating to our events and products at a cost.
