ESCR Annual Scientific Meeting 2025

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great honour and pleasure to welcome you to the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (ESCR) Annual Scientific Meeting 2025, which will take place from October 23 to 25, 2025, in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 2025 meeting promises to deliver an outstanding program for everyone involved in cardiovascular imaging. It will feature state-of-the-art sessions for experienced cardiovascular radiologists, education for those entering the field including trainees and radiographers, and sessions with ESCR partner societies. The meeting will provide a platform to share cutting-edge research, explore future developments, and foster collaborations with colleagues from around the world. It will also include the opportunity to sit the EBCR diploma exam for those seeking Level 3 certification in cardiovascular radiology.

Our host city, Glasgow, is Scotland’s largest and is renowned for its vibrant energy, rich culture, and welcoming people. Once a hub of shipbuilding along the River Clyde, Glasgow is now celebrated for its dynamic art scene, world-class museums, and status as a UNESCO City of Music. It offers a fantastic setting for our meeting, blending a proud industrial heritage with modern innovation and creativity. Glasgow is easy to reach via Glasgow Airport or Edinburgh Airport, with Edinburgh city centre just a short train ride away. Hopefully you will also have time to visit the stunning scenery of Scotland, including many lochs, islands, mountains and castles.

We look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow for an exciting and memorable ESCR meeting. Come for the science and education, stay for the culture and beauty of Scotland.

Ceud mìle fàilte (a hundred thousand welcomes)!

Professor Michelle Williams
ESCR 2025 Congress President

ESCR Annual Scientific Meeting 2025, Glasgow/UK

We have the honour and pleasure to invite you to the Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology – ESCR that will be held in Glasgow/UK, from October 23-25, 2025.

We are happy to also this year offer various options to our industry partners to perfectly position your company and to reach out to international experts in non-invasive cardiac and cardiovascular radiology coming together from all over the world to share their knowledge in a friendly atmosphere and to benefit from an attractive and exciting congress programme

Main topics 2025

Radiology has always been a rapidly evolving specialty, closely linked to technical innovations but also actively contributing to a better understanding of pathophysiological processes in a wide variety of diseases. This is actually especially true in the field of non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, where new techniques including e.g. parametric MR mapping for tissue characterisation, non-invasive CT-based fraction flow reserve calculations, and evolving insights in the evaluation and treatment of valvular heart disease with CT/MR are leading to improved diagnostic possibilities and better patient care. The current annual meeting will provide plenty of opportunities to learn the latest insights into cutting-edge clinical imaging applications, not only through lectures by respected speakers, but also through a variety of dedicated workshops. Finally, the rise of artificial intelligence and big data is undeniable, with a growing impact on the workflow and position of the radiologist. Dedicated sessions will provide the necessary insights relevant to clinical practice.

SCAM WARNINGS – BE VIGILANT!

Delegates, participants, exhibitors and other partners are continually targeted by companies claiming to be, or work with, event organisers. They use existing event branding and may appear genuine. In the past this has included directories and hotel bookings, besides other requests.

Our official partners are listed on the conference website, thus we ask you to retrieve all information and guidance from there only.

ESCR has no impact on possible scam attempts and thus will not assume any liability for such activity. Please do inform us immediately if you receive anything unexpected, looking like potential scam or that you are unsure of.

What to do if targeted by a scammer

In case you encounter or receive scam:
Ignore completely and do not communicate in any way. Writing letters and responding to emails simply confirms that you exist and are available at the address/email address/number they have and therefore to continue or try to pursue a payment.
1. Alert us immediately
2. Do not pay anything
3. Do not communicate with the scammers even when they threaten legal action

Hotel booking agencies

Please beware of hotel booking companies who contact participants, speakers and supporting companies claiming to be either a preferred supplier or, in some cases, working for our event, that demand up-front payment, charge substantial penalties for changes or cancellation and may not even make a reservation with the unapproved hotel.
We advise that you make your arrangements through reputable suppliers and not via unsolicited phone calls or emails.

Unsolicited Marketing Communications

Companies are being targeted by agencies claiming to supply exhibitor/visitor/participant lists and details relating to our events and products at a cost. Be aware that this data is likely fraudulent. If you receive any such unsolicited offers, please do not respond unless you have checked with us first.

If you are unsure of any correspondence received, please contact us directly at office@escr.org.
