Criteria and Tasks
Guidelines Committee
Qualifications/criteria for subcommittee members:
- Demonstrated editorial and scholarly proficiency, including lead authorship in at least five peer-reviewed publications or clinical guidelines in cardiovascular radiology.
- A minimum H-index of 10, reflecting the impact of published research.
- Proven experience in contributing to clinical guideline initiatives, even at national level.
- At least five consecutive years of clinical or research experience in cardiovascular imaging (CT/MR).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to the collective objectives of the subcommittee.
Tasks of the subcommittee members:
- Participation in ESCR Annual Meetings: Attend the ESCR annual congress regularly, with a minimum requirement of a yearly participation in at least one subcommittee meeting.
- Timely Task Completion: Ensure prompt and timely responses to all assigned tasks, including emails and document reviews, with a goal of responding within 5 working days unless otherwise specified.
- Active Involvement in Guideline Development: Actively engage in the development, review, and updating of clinical practice guidelines for cardiovascular CT and MR. Members will be expected to contribute measurable work, such as providing written feedback or drafting sections for at least one guideline project per year.
- Collaboration with Journal Leadership: Work closely with the leadership of the ESCR-affiliated journal to propose, review, and publish guidelines. Ensure that all published guidelines meet society standards, contributing to at least one peer-reviewed publication or guideline update per year.
- Evidence-Based Expertise: Regularly review and contribute to discussions on at least three relevant clinical studies or pieces of literature per year, ensuring that guidelines are rooted in the most current evidence and technological advancements.
- Dissemination of Guidelines: Assist in the promotion and dissemination of finalized guidelines through at least two educational activities per year (e.g., presentations at conferences, publications in peer-reviewed journals, or webinars).
- Global Engagement: Collaborate with international stakeholders to ensure that guidelines have global relevance, contributing to at least one international collaboration annually.
- Promotion of Published Documents: After publication, actively contribute to the promotion and editorial success of published guidelines by sharing and discussing them in professional networks and ensuring they are referenced in at least two relevant contexts, such as educational events or journal articles.
Scientific & MRCT Registry Committee
Qualifications/criteria for subcommittee members:
- ESCR full member
- EBCR Diploma holder (active status)
- Experience in scientific work on cardiovascular radiology
- At least 3 scientific and/or educational presentations in cardiovascular radiology at the ESR and/or ESCR meetings
Tasks of the subcommittee/-members:
- Active participation in the ESCR activities (annual congress, webinars, courses)
- Part of the abstract reading group for the annual congress
- Support in the composition of the scientific and poster sessions at the annual congress
- Suggestion for scientific activities within the society
- Suggestions for and conduction of studies out of the MRCT registry
Education & EBCR Committee
Qualifications/criteria for subcommittee members:
- ESCR full member
- EBCR Diploma holder (active status)
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in radiology (undergraduate and/or postgraduate level)
- At least 3 scientific and/or educational presentations in cardiovascular radiology at the ESR and/or ESCR meetings
Tasks of the subcommittee/-members:
- EBCR Diploma:
- Regular updates of the question database for the written and oral examination
- Examiners for the EBCR Diploma during the ECR and ESCR meetings
- ESCR webinar programme planning
- Suggestions for the educational programme at the ESCR Annual Meetings
- Preparation of the ESCR educational documents and courses
- Active participation in the ESCR educational activities (annual meetings, webinars, courses)
- Regular attendance of the Education & EBCR Committee meetings
- Updates of ESR curricula for cardiovascular radiology (Levels I, II, and III)
Communication and New Media Committee
Qualifications/criteria for subcommittee members:
- Active accounts on X, Instagram, Linkedin and Facebook
- Very active presence on social media
- Ability to create teamwork within the committee, other societies and with the Young Club
Tasks of the subcommittee/-members:
- Publish contents on all social media in due time
- Check activities and contents of the Young Club
- Weekly availability to publish contents on social media
- Availability to attend online and in person meeting (at least 70% of total amount of in person and online meeting)
Membership Committee
Qualifications/criteria for subcommittee members:
- Professional Background: Subcommittee members should have a background in cardiovascular radiology or a related field, ideally with experience in clinical practice, research, or academia. This ensures that members understand the profession and the needs of the society.
- Membership in ESCR: They should be current members of the ESCR and preferably be familiar with the society’s objectives, structure, and activities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary, as the work often involves engaging with current and potential members, addressing membership issues, and working within a team environment.
Tasks of the subcommittee/-members:
- Benefits Evaluation: Help evaluate current membership benefits (such as access to journals, discounts for conferences, or educational resources) and suggest improvements or additions to keep members engaged and satisfied.
- Creating Surveys: Assist in designing and distributing surveys to collect feedback from the membership based on satisfaction, desired benefits, or areas for improvement and after that help to analyze the results of membership surveys to determine trends and areas where the society could improve its offerings or adjust its strategy.
- Inclusive Outreach: Support initiatives to increase diversity within the society, including reaching out to underrepresented groups or regions to encourage participation.
- Cross-Committee Projects: Subcommittee members may work with other committees (e.g., the educational or scientific committees) on initiatives that promote membership benefits or encourage broader participation in society activities.
- Membership Trends: Track and report on membership trends and issues, such as recruitment success, retention challenges, and emerging member needs.
- Feedback to Chairperson: Provide regular feedback and updates to the chairperson on the status of projects, initiatives, and other membership-related activities.
